About me

Having retired from my career in I.T. and H.R. at the end of 2017, I now spend a lot of time in the kitchen, cooking for my family and friends. I follow slow-food principles using seasonal local produce and traditional cooking methods – though I do use a thermomix as a kitchen helper. If I want stock, bread, pasta or icecream, I make it myself. I’m a bit of a gym junkie (Les Mills) and a born-again reader. And then there’s travel… mainly to Italy and France, but anywhere where there is good food, theatre, music or art. I absolutely love animals and birds, and the Australian bush; I love going to the beach – at any time of the year – and I’m the proud mother of a 21 year-old sourdough starter. Home is in Perth, Western Australia.
